Garden tractor or zero turn mower?
I need a mower to cut approx.3 acres. I can not go over 2500 dollars without taking the chance of other bills not getting paid. I've been looking at two mowers on the lowes website. Husqvarna lgt2554 garden tractor and a Husqvarna rz4216 zero turn radius mower. The tractor is 2299.99 and the ztr is 2399.99. I'm really just looking for a good smooth cut but also a speedy machine. I can't wait any longer to buy grass is growing. So with my limit of approx. 2500 can anyone give any educated advice on theses mowers or any in this range.
I'd really take a look at a zero turn instead of a tractor. Will probably cost you a little more but it's very worthwhile. There was a nice clip on Designing Spaces that showed a zero turn next to a tractor.
