A few reasons that the economy is robust and solid?
1. Tractor trailers are abundant. I'm afraid to drive there are so many.
2. Walmart's parking lot is full, lines are long, people buying big purchase items.
3. CSX trains have to slow down due to the increasing train traffic.
4. Banks are actively seeking loan applicants, with good credit.
5, Gasoline prices remain in the $3 per gal range as we've seen over the last 12 months.
6. Help Wanted ads in the newspaper are abundant.
I agree if you gamble in the stock market, you should be antsy and if you made some bad choices in the mortgage market, you should accept the facts and move on but take responsibility for your actions and don't expect a bail out.
And don't criticize Bush for trying to stave off a possible recession.

Hi Jay J, thats also my son Jasons' nickname! Obviously you are from the states. It's good to hear that things appear to be better than the politicians are saying, especially ours in the u.k. about your economy and i am quite sure thaat some of these hiccups are masterminded by people looking to pick up panicked stock on the exchanges for silly prices. Just hang in there, sooner or later it balances.
