Tractor Battery Charger
Why won't my lawn tractor recharge it's battery anymore?
The battery is new and will recharge when I put it on a trickle charger. The amp meter on the tractor constantly indicates "charging" when the tractor is operating. The Engine is an 18hp OHV B & S.
With the tractor running above 1/2 throttle measure the voltage at the battery. It should be around 13 volts. If less, you have a charging problem. You will need the manufacturer's specs to trouble shoot the cause.
