Tractor Ballast Weight

Anyone use a Snowblower attachment on Lawn/Garden Tractor... do they work well?
I have a 400ft driveway and will be snowblowing this winter (its a dirt driveway with some exposed rocks so it's not plowable unless I want to go through the windshield lol)
So, I was thinking of buying a nice 19 or 24hp lawn tractor with the PTO driven snowblower attachment... but Ive heard they dont move snow well...
Anyone use them? anyone know anything about how well they work, especially in heavy wet snow?
(I will have tire chains, wheel weights and ballast weights for the tractor... fyi)
I faced this issue but I already had the lawn tractor for mowing my yard. The attachments generally cost as much as a good snow blower. Putting on the weights and chains is a hassle and you also have to change it back in the spring. I thought it was easier for me to get a top dollar snow blower instead. I got a huge Ariens and that thing can move just about anything. I could probably sit on the handles and ride it if I wanted to. My lawn tractor was 2,000 dollars and so was my snow blower. I really couldn't justify paying that much for attachments. I also had plenty of room in my garage for another machine. To answer your question they do work though. Just a huge hassle.
