New Tractor Buying Tips

How to recore a radiator?
This is for a medium sized tractor, a 1963 Allis Chalmers D17. I bought the tractor used, and the radiator is missing some fins and looks like it has been patched together and repaired a few times. I've already got the radiator off (putting in new oversized pistons, rings and sleeves) and thought I might as well rebuild the radiator. Any tips or advice? I have an oxy/acet brazing/welding/heating rig.
yes the missing fins tell the story its time to change, in more ways than one it used to be, you could get a radiator recored for less than a new one, but with the advent of aluminum, which dissipates heat far better, it is now cheaper in some cases to buy aluminum. but since you hav a tractor, talk to a local tractor supply wherehouse, or look one up on line, and get some more information good luck
