Walk Behind Lawn Mowers - The Advatages

For life in the suburbs there is one obsession that is synonymous with the weekly choirs of owning a house, that  is mowing the lawn.  Life in suburbia might not exactly be like the song "pleasant valley Sunday" but there is one matter that is precise in its representation of "status symbol land" and that is the connection between a man and his lawn.  For over a century the classic push lawn mower has been the pre-emanate tool for keeping the lawns of America pristine and showpiece fresh.  The best factor about these mowers is no matter what your tastes in mower is be it electric, gas or manual, you can be assured that a walk behind will give a great looking cut each occasion and without much fuss.

Why are these mowers ideal over a riding mower? The simple reason is that a walk behind will provide a quality cut that you are able to have a hands on experience with. These mowers also let a man escape some of his frustration out. It is a acknowledged fact that if a man is in the garden with a mower and he seems to be mad, just permit him to be by himself with his walk behind mower. There are also the health benefits that are able to be enjoyed. A individual that uses a push lawn mower might be in a lot improved shape than someone who chooses to us a ride on mower.

The walk behind mower has seen a lot of transformations over the course of its life.  The present market is filled with a wide selection of push mower models and different types; amongst which anyone can find the one that is ideal for them. Of course the big debate amongst those who be keen on their mowers is the argument of Electric against. Petrol v. Manual.  This debate has been going on for decades and it doesn't seem that there may come about any ending to anytime soon.  The simple fact is that the whole three have their pluses along with minuses.  Let's take a look at the three and what each has to offer.

The large array of mower styles is also one of the most recent factors of debate amongst individuals who are lawn lovers.  This argument started with the launch of the petrol walk behind mower in the Forties and continues to this day.  It seems that the disagreement over which style is greatest will carry on for many more decades save for one thing is for in no doubt, nobody doubts the superiority of the walk behind as as opposed to other push lawn mower models.

Electric walk behind mowers are convenient and give a somewhat improve on environmental advantage.  They are also good for persons who have a sensitivity to petrol fumes or whom can't stand the sound of a traditional push lawn mower engine.  There are some major issues with electric and all of them have to do with the source of power.  Corded mowers have a stronger electric motor and can cope with heavier growth but they also have a long cable following behind you.  This can be hassle and dangerous (should you accidently run over your own cord).  Battery powered models have varying amounts of motor power but the battery do not tend to last long enough to cut the entire yard at once leaving you either having to have additional expensive battery, waiting for a recharge or having to plug into the power port and have the similar troubles as mentions above with the lead.  Solar powered mowers have a lot of promise but they are a long way from being perfected.  The ones that are on the market are weak and have a major problem of not being able to work very well when it is overcast or slightly drizzly.  This is an concern seeing as these are the best time to cut the lawn most specialists will agree.

The manual reel walk behind mower is the most wanted among environmentalists and those who are perfectionists about their lawns are starting to once again notice the value of it in their lives.  It is quiet, it gives you excellent results and it has no need for batteries of gas.  The maintenance is limited to sharpening the blades and oiling the component.  Some have even remarked that the sharpening of the blades can be a therapeutic experience and that using a manual push lawn mower can create a very Zen feeling in one's mind.  The only drawback is the fact that using one requires so long and they can be slightly dangerous if you are not careful.

If you are wanting for the best lawn that you can get ditch the riding tractor and get your hands around the handle of a classic walk behind.  They are cost-effective, robust, and straightforward to maintain and give a great looking lawn.
