Ford Tractor Switch
I am putting a toggle switch in place of key start on my ford 3000 tractor..is this the best option?
Two of the above posters almost have it.
You have three ways to do this. you can use 2 switches and a relay.
1 single pole double throw, and one Push to activate self resetting. and a relay so the swithches wont fail due to power over flow through them.
The other way is a specialty switch and a relay, The specialty switch is off in down position, on in middle position, and when pressed up self resets to the on position.
The third and final way to do this, is to visit your local Ford dealership's parts counter. You would be surprised to find out that most parts for anything with a ford name can be purchased there, including new key switches for tractors.
