Notable Features And Accessories Of The HTC Evo
The HTC EVO is the world’s first 4G smart phone that runs on the Android platform. Because it is a 4th generation mobile device, there are some unique features and capabilities on the Evo that many other devices do not offer. The Sprint 4G systems used on the EVO provides a higher capacity broadband capability than the older 3G mobile devices including the iPhone. For example, you can video chat with the EVO without the need for a Wi-Fi connection. Also the 4G network offers speeds 10x faster than that of a standard 3G connection. The only drawback is that 4G is not as widely available as 3G at the current time.
In 2010 only about 30 countries offer the 4G network but there are more countries that will be releasing the 4G network in early 2011. Of course, when 4G connections are not available, the phone can still connect at 3G speeds. A great feature on the EVO is that you can share your 4G link with up to eight other devices simultaneously. Using a wireless network you can distribute your high speed 4G connection to laptops and other devices. A 4G linkage is similar in speed to a cable modem or DSL connection for your personal computer. The HTC EVO uses a fast 1 GHz SnapDragon processor to complement the high bandwidth internet capacity.
The powerful processor provides for a better experience when handling heavy duty CPU tasks like video game playing or video chatting. The HTC EVO is the first device to use Qualcomm’s 1 GHz SnapDragon processor, which was specifically designed for 4G phones. EVO’s CPU works together with 512 MB of RAM and 1 GB of internal data storage to provide premium performance. There is also an 8 GB SD card for memory expansion. The massive, 4.3 inch, 400x800 high definition screen allows users to fully enjoy the phone’s outstanding capabilities in 720p resolution. The TFT LCD touch screen is reportedly the largest on the market. It also has a very neat built-in kickstand for a better viewing experience and with its focus system that automatically brings images and text into focus without any manual effort.
In addition to the 4G network and high-performance SnapDragon processor, the EVO is also loaded with many other nice features. The mobile phone has not one but two cameras. The main camera is found in the usual position while the secondary camera is front facing. The main camera is rated at 8 megapixels with flash and HD video capability. The second camera has only a 1.3 MP and is more for video chat and other similar activities.
The HTC EVO smart phone is definitely a unique product on the market due to its 4G capability, high quality SnapDragon processor and huge touchscreen. {Not everyone may need a phone with such capabilities but if you use your phone to access the internet frequently, the EVO is certainly an option to look into for the future And although not many will require a device with such features, it is definitely worth looking into it for the future}.
