what kind of valve cover gaskets do i need?
i have a 2000 crown vic 4,6 and i am going to put new valve cover gaskets on.What kind should i get and will i need anything to go with it.
Any auto supply outlet should have the exact gaskets you need.
When removing the old ones cleanup the block surface carefully with say a screw driver until smooth.
I like to use a non hardening gasket "goo" on the block,then when installing the new gaskets tighten the cover until snug.
Just snug;you don't want to bend the cover.
