Chain Clevis
name for a device for quick connection and disconnection of cables or ropes, looks like a solid chain link....?
that's had a pair of bolt cutters cut it, made so only another link of identical shape will fit into it if they're crossed before connecting, to disconnect, twist them again, quick and simple.
but I can never remember their name.
where I seen it used is danish seine fishing where they need to quickly connect and disconnect many ropes, so instead of using knots, then connect with these.
again, they're solid metal except for the notch for connecting two of then together, and it's on the long part of the link, not on the curve like a repair link, not a coupling link and not a clevis, there's no pin or bolt at all, only a link.
